Quad and desert tours in Marrakech: FAQ

You book a Quad Marrakech outing online, on the page of the outing you want: pick a date, a departure and how many of you there are, then confirm. You get a confirmation by email with a voucher and the exact departure time for your date.

You can book without paying anything online and pay in cash at the base (dirhams or other currencies), or pay online with PayPal, as you choose: a 30% deposit or the full amount. Cards are not accepted at the base.

You pay for a desert outing with Quad Marrakech in cash at the base, in dirhams or foreign currency; there is no card payment there. Online, you pay with PayPal. Prices are shown in euros, and you can display them in dollars, pounds or dirhams. The amount to pay is on your confirmation.

Outings booked with Quad Marrakech can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the start. Anything you paid online is refunded. Inside 24 hours, the 30% deposit is kept and anything paid on top of it is refunded; contact us and we will look first at moving your date.

Quad Marrakech desert outings start from our base in the Agafay desert, 45 minutes by road south-west of central Marrakech. The exact point and a map link are on your confirmation, and a return transfer from your hotel or riad can be added when you book, for a fee.

No, the transfer from your hotel is not included in the price of Quad Marrakech outings, which covers the activity itself. A transfer from your hotel or riad in Marrakech can be arranged when you book, for a fee — say so at the time and we confirm the price before you pay.

For a quad or desert outing from Marrakech, wear closed shoes and sunglasses, and bring something to cover your face against the dust. Evenings are cold on the Agafay plateau all year round, so add a warm layer if your outing ends late.

On the quad, passengers start at 6 and drivers at 16; on the buggy, passengers start at 6 and the driver must be 18 or over with a driving licence; the camel ride starts at 3; the dinner on its own has no minimum age, and outings that include a quad take passengers from 6. If it rains, a desert outing from Marrakech usually still runs: the Agafay tracks are stone, not sand, so they stay open after rain. A full day of rain is rare, and we contact you if a departure cannot run — you are not left to find out at the base.
