Cheap quad tours in Marrakech: what you get

Cheap quad tours from Marrakech compared: minutes on the quad, own or shared machine, transfer, and what disappointed customers report.

A €20 all-inclusive day in the Agafay desert is real: the most-booked one on GetYourGuide was listed from $21, about €19, on 25 October 2026. For that price, its itinerary gives 40 minutes of quad and 15 minutes of camel in a 7-hour day, with dinner and a show. Customers who were disappointed report less: most of the quad times quoted in their reviews are 30 minutes or under.

This guide sets out what that offer states, what its unhappy buyers report, what the rest of the market charges, and what changes when the quad lasts an hour. Most of its buyers are satisfied — 4.8 out of 5 over 46,219 reviews — so the point is not that cheap means bad. It is to know what you are paying for before you choose.

What does a €20 all-inclusive Agafay tour include?

The offer below is the most-booked quad, camel and dinner day in Agafay on GetYourGuide. Everything in the table comes from its listing and its itinerary, as read on 25 October 2026.

What the listing states The €20 all-inclusive offer
Price From $21 (shown crossed out at $42), per person
Total length 7 hours, leaving between 2 and 4 pm
Getting there Bus or van; hotel pickup costs extra, otherwise you meet at one of six free points in Marrakech
Quad 40 minutes, with helmet and goggles
Camel 15 minutes
Rest of the time on site Break and photos (1 hour), sunset (30 minutes), dinner (1 hour), dance show (30 minutes)
Dinner Tagine, couscous and fruit under Berber tents
Group “Small group setting”
Cancellation Free up to 24 hours before
Reviews 46,219, average 4.8 out of 5

Where the 7 hours go

Add up the stops in the itinerary and you get 3 hours 55 minutes on site. Of those, 55 minutes are spent on the quad and the camel. The other three hours or so are the road: a bus or van that collects passengers at up to nine pickup points, then the drive to Agafay and back.

Two things the listing does not say:

  • Whether you get your own quad, or share one with another person.
  • How many riders follow one guide.

Neither is a detail. The first decides whether you drive at all; the second sets the pace of the ride.

What disappointed customers report

We read the 1,049 reviews of that offer rated one, two or three stars (GetYourGuide shows up to 350 per rating), in six languages. They are a small part of the total: most buyers rate the day highly. But when unhappy customers explain why, the same points come back.

Activity Reviews that give a time 10 min or less 11 to 15 min 16 to 20 min 21 to 30 min Over 30 min
Quad 85 32 17 19 19 37
Camel 63 36 24 6 9 9

Counts are mentions: one review can quote two times.

Almost all of the 37 quad mentions above 30 minutes fall between 31 and 45 minutes, close to the 40 announced. But 87 of the 124 quad times quoted, seven in ten, are 30 minutes or less: for these customers, the ride was shorter than the itinerary.

The other complaints that come back most:

  • Waiting — late buses, long waits on site: 93 reviews.
  • Crowds — “tourist factory”, mass handling: 78 reviews.
  • The meal — served cold, or poor: 64 reviews.

One review written in French sums it up as seven hours out, for an hour and a half to two hours of activity: 30 minutes of quad and 15 of camel.

What the rest of the market charges

To see where the €20 day sits, we noted seven quad offers from Marrakech on GetYourGuide on the same day. Prices are the “from” price per person shown to a visitor, in dollars; they change with the date and the size of the group.

Offer Area Total length Quad time stated From, per person Reviews
Quad, camel and dinner show (most-booked) Agafay 7 h 40 min, plus 15 min of camel $21 46,219 · 4.8
Sunset quad, camel and dinner Agafay 6 h Not checked $21 15,310 · 4.8
Quad, camel and dinner show (new listing) Agafay 5 h 30 Not checked $17 No reviews yet
Quad tour with transfer Agafay 4 h 1 h 45, in two parts $40 414 · 4.8
Palmeraie dunes quad with tea Palmeraie 3 h 2 h $13 7,079 · 4.8
Palm grove and Jbilat quad Palmeraie and Jbilat 3 h 2 h $13 13,934 · 4.7
Palmeraie quad with tea break Palmeraie 3 h 2 h $15 3,763 · 4.8

The pattern is plain: the cheapest Agafay day is not the one with the most time on the quad. For less money, the Palmeraie tours give three times as much riding; for twice the price, the quad-only Agafay tour gives more than twice the minutes, with the transfer.

What makes the price of a quad tour vary

Minutes on the machine

Fuel, wear on the machine and the guide’s time all grow with the length of the ride. A 40-minute ride costs the operator less than an hour and three-quarters, and the price follows. Read the itinerary for the minutes, not the title.

One quad per person, or one for two

A 6-hour Agafay offer with 26,360 reviews lists a “1-hour quad ride double” in what is included, which reads as two people on one machine. A passenger seat costs the operator far less than a machine, so the price per person drops. If you want to drive, check that the price is for a driver, and whether the hour is shared between two people at the handlebars.

Shared bus or your own vehicle

A shared bus that collects passengers at several points spreads the cost of the road over many people, and costs time: in the most-booked offer, about three of the seven hours. A private transfer costs more per person and gives that time back.

Agafay or the Palmeraie

The Palmeraie is a palm grove on the northern edge of Marrakech: the road is short, and the tracks run among the palm trees and, on some tours, into the Jbilat hills. The Agafay is a stony desert about 45 minutes south-west of the city, with the Atlas in view. Farther means more road, and more of the price goes on getting there. Our guide to the Agafay desert describes the ground.

What is added around the ride

Dinner, a show and a camel ride each take a slot in the day. In the most-booked offer they fill most of the time on site: the quad is one item among six.

Time on the quad: the comparison that matters

The useful comparison is not the price on the ticket. It is the time you spend doing what you came for.

What you get €20 all-inclusive (most-booked offer) Quad Marrakech: 1-hour quad, camel and Moroccan meal
Quad 40 min stated; 30 min or less in most times quoted by unhappy buyers 1 hour, each driver on their own machine
Camel 15 min stated About an hour, a handler on foot with the line
Meal Tagine, couscous and fruit, with a show Soup, salads, tagine or couscous and fruit, at low tables under the tents
Total time 7 hours, transfer included 4 hours at the base in Agafay, about 5 h 30 with the transfer
Transfer Bus or van; hotel pickup extra Optional, per vehicle of up to six, return trip
Cancellation Free up to 24 hours before Free up to 24 hours before

Our prices are published on each activity page and in the price table of the quad biking page. The quad is priced per rider: a passenger behind the driver pays their own place, so two quads cost the same as two people on one.

How our 4-hour quad, camel and meal day runs

The 1-hour quad, camel and Moroccan meal leaves once a day, at 4 pm (5 pm from 1 April to 20 September). The three activities share one site in Agafay, so there is no transfer between them and no second meeting point to find.

From arrival What happens
+0:00 Arrival at the base, paperwork and helmet fitting
+0:15 Briefing on controls, braking and spacing, then a practice loop
+0:30 One hour of quad on the tracks, with one stop
+1:30 About an hour on camelback, led by a handler on foot
+2:30 Dinner under the tents: soup, salads, tagine or couscous, fruit and mint tea
+3:45 Groups gather at the camp
+4:00 Departure

Drivers must be 16 or over; a child can ride as a passenger behind an adult from the age of 6. For two hours on the quad, the 2-hour quad, camel and sunset dinner follows the same afternoon and lasts five hours.

Check a quad offer in two minutes

Before you compare prices, open each listing and look for five things:

  1. The itinerary, not the title. The minutes per activity are often there: 40 for the quad and 15 for the camel in the most-booked offer.
  2. The word “double” or “shared” in what is included: it means two people on one quad.
  3. Pickup “available” or included. “Pickup available” can mean an extra charge; look for “extra” or a list of meeting points.
  4. Total length against activity time. The gap between the two is the road and the waiting.
  5. The one- to three-star reviews, filtered and read for minutes. They tell you what happens when the day goes wrong.

8 questions to ask before you book a quad tour in Marrakech

Whoever you book with, ask these before you pay, and keep the answers in writing:

  1. How many minutes do I actually drive the quad?
  2. Do I get my own quad, or do two people share one?
  3. How many riders are there per guide?
  4. Is the transfer included, and is it a shared bus or our own vehicle?
  5. How long is the camel ride?
  6. What is the meal, and is it included?
  7. What happens if the weather turns, or if I cancel?
  8. Are helmet, goggles and a safety briefing included? The quad and buggy safety guide lists what to expect.

Booking direct or through a platform

A platform such as GetYourGuide or Viator brings thousands of reviews and a single payment page. The operator who runs the outing pays the platform a commission on each booking. Booking direct puts you in touch with the people who run the day, and lets you ask the eight questions above before you pay.

Our booking conditions are on the site: free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. If you are still choosing between machines, the quad or buggy guide compares the two.

Questions

Frequent questions

WhatsApp is the fastest way, for a question before booking or a change of date. For a group quote or anything you need in writing, email works better.

Why do some quad tours in Marrakech cost only €20 all-inclusive?

+

A quad tour in Marrakech at around €20, with transfer, camel, dinner and a show, rests on shared transport by bus or van and short activity slots. The most-booked offer of this kind gives 40 minutes of quad and 15 minutes of camel in a 7-hour day; the rest is the road, the meal, the show and the waiting.

How long is the quad ride in a €20 all-inclusive Agafay tour?

+

The itinerary of the most-booked €20 all-inclusive Agafay tour gives 40 minutes of quad. Among its 1,049 reviews rated one to three stars, 85 quote a time, and most of those times are 30 minutes or less, so ask the seller how many minutes you will actually drive before you pay.

How long is the quad ride with Quad Marrakech in the Agafay desert?

+

With Quad Marrakech, the quad ride in the Agafay desert lasts 1 hour or 2 hours depending on the activity booked, and the 4-hour quad, camel and Moroccan meal includes 1 hour of quad. Each driver rides their own machine; a passenger can sit behind the driver and pays their own place.

Is hotel pickup included in cheap quad tours from Marrakech?

+

In the most-booked all-inclusive quad tour from Marrakech, hotel pickup costs extra; without it you meet at one of six free points in the city and travel to Agafay by bus or van. With Quad Marrakech, a return transfer from your hotel or riad is optional, priced per vehicle of up to six.

Is a quad ride cheaper in the Palmeraie than in the Agafay desert?

+

Yes, on the booking platforms: on 25 October 2026, three Palmeraie quad tours on GetYourGuide were listed from $13 to $15 for 3 hours, with 2 hours of riding stated. The Palmeraie is a palm grove on the northern edge of Marrakech, so the road is short; the Agafay is a stony desert about 45 minutes away, with the Atlas in view.

Is a cheap €20 quad tour in Marrakech safe to book?

+

The price alone does not tell you whether a €20 quad tour in Marrakech is safe. Check that each rider gets a fitted helmet, that a briefing and a practice loop come before the ride, how many riders follow one guide and what the insurance covers; the most-booked cheap offer lists helmet and goggles, not the number of riders per guide.

What should I ask before booking a quad tour in Marrakech?

+

Before booking a quad tour in Marrakech, ask how many minutes you actually drive, whether you get your own quad, how many riders share one guide, whether the transfer is included, what the meal is, and what the cancellation terms are. A clear answer in writing is worth more than a low price.
